Our founder was very aware of the crisis our planet faces from irresponsible textile and fashion players. We could not (would not!) be part of this problem. So, we searched for a solution in the form of fabrics that turn every user into an eco-warrior.

Yes. At Hot Planet, we are committed to working exclusively with biodegradable fabrics wherever possible. We continuously research, test, and collaborate with responsible suppliers to ensure our materials meet both performance and environmental standards, without compromising on fit, feel, or durability.
How does Hot Planet reduce its carbon footprint?
We actively work to reduce our environmental impact at every stage of the process. This includes:
- Choosing biodegradable and responsibly sourced fabrics
- Producing in limited quantities to avoid overproduction
- Designing timeless styles meant to be worn beyond one season
- Minimising waste during cutting and production
- Reusing or repurposing leftover fabric wherever possible

Is Amni Soul Eco water-resistant and suitable for swimming?
Yes. Amni Soul Eco behaves just like high-quality nylon used in premium swimwear. It is chlorine-resistant, quick-drying, and suitable for swimming, lounging, and active movement. It is not waterproof, but it performs exactly as swimwear should.
How long does Amni Soul Eco take to biodegrade?
Amni Soul Eco is designed to biodegrade only after disposal, under landfill-like, anaerobic conditions. In this environment, it can biodegrade in approximately five years, compared to traditional synthetic fibres that can persist for decades or longer.
Important: The fabric does not biodegrade during use, washing, or wear, so your swimwear remains durable and long-lasting.
Does biodegradable mean the swimwear breaks down in water or while wearing it?
No. Your Hot Planet pieces are completely stable during wear, washing, swimming, and storage. Biodegradation is triggered only when the garment reaches the end of its life and is exposed to specific landfill conditions.
How should I care for my Hot Planet swimwear?
To extend the life of your swimwear:
- Rinse with fresh water after use
- Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water
- Avoid harsh detergents and tumble drying
- Dry flat, away from direct sunlight
Good care helps your piece last longer which is also a form of sustainability.
